Case study: Starbucks
Ask
Starbucks had a problem. A big, steaming, frothy problem. They were brewing baristas in an outdated, clunky onboarding system. Store managers were reporting that new hires weren't just leaving the training, they were leaving in tears, overwhelmed by the quad-shot of information. And guess what? Many of these new hires were pulling a quick exit, leaving right after getting behind the coffee bar.
Approach
Our team knew they had to grind down their outdated onboarding and brew up something new. We came up with a gamified training method that was as fun and engaging as the first sip of a Pumpkin Spice Latte in the fall. They wanted to craft an experience where trainees could taste the barista life before they even stepped behind the counter, making the transition smooth, enjoyable, and, above all, tear-free.

Results
